About PlugVoltage
Most plug guides tell you what the outlet looks like. We tell you whether your device is safe to plug in — and exactly what to do about it.
Type in your device and destination and we check plug shape, voltage, and wattage against your destination, then give one clear answer: plug in as-is, grab an adapter, use a converter, or leave it home.
How we keep it accurate
Our voltage, frequency, and plug-type data carries a source and a last-reviewed date. The safety logic is deterministic and conservative: when anything is uncertain, we tell you to check the label rather than guess.
What we won't do
We won't tell you to buy something you don't need. If a plug adapter is enough, we say so. For high-watt heating tools we recommend a dual-voltage version rather than a risky converter. This is general travel guidance, not electrical or medical advice.
This tool provides general guidance only — not professional electrical, engineering, or safety advice. Voltage, frequency, and plug data can change and may vary by building, region, or individual outlet, including in hotels and older properties. Always check the printed label on your device or its power supply before plugging it in. When the label and our guidance disagree, trust the label. If you are unsure, consult a qualified electrician or the device manufacturer. You use this information at your own risk.
